Abathor

Here we have some excellent Polish thrash metal. It features harsh vocals and almost borders on death/thrash at some points, but not quite. The sound is dirty and perfectly suits the overall feel of the material. The songwriting is great as everything fits together and flows well. There are many memorable riffs, such as those found on "Anatomy of a Murder", and the songs never get boring in the slightest bit. A sombre feeling is present in some of the riffs, only adding to the dark atmosphere. As I understand, quite a few of these Polish bands just came and went with minimal releases and unfulfilled potential. Apparently, these guys did record a little more some years after this, but the less said about that the better. Nevertheless, The Ultimate Cure is absolutely killer stuff that is well worth tracking down in whatever manner possible. Highly recommended!
