Impurity

In Pain We Trust is the second demo from Polish band Impurity, recorded in April 1990. The music is dark, face-ripping death/thrash with raw production and a savage feel. Raspy, evil deathvomits add to the violence, as do the sharp guitar tone and lead solos that conjure flames rising from below. Impurity blends primitive death metal with thrash riffs and even traces of early Celtic Frost. Frequent blast beats add to the ferocity, especially on “Last Sufferings”, which brings to mind Amputation’s Achieve the Mutilation or Abduction of Limbs from Old Funeral. In Pain We Trust is another vicious strike from Poland’s deep underground. If you’re into late ’80s death/thrash, this is worth tracking down.
